As for Clay's 10-day stay: so much to do, so little time! He's already ready to run down to Pike Place and recreate a fabulous fresh dinner, we OF COURSE need to do some apartment shopping, and I still want to see this city's green spaces! The only downside is that there is no doubt that I have a couple hundred emails in my work inbox - no lie :( I haven't quite yet caught up to the speed at which emails fly into my inbox on a second by second basis, but hopefully I will join the ranks soon (psst-don't tell Glee!). In the meantime, I have at least managed to LITERALLY sort through the 660+ emails that I STILL have in my inbox (all sent within the mesely 4 weeks since I've started, mind you) EXCLUDING the ones that I have already sorted away and/or deleted. WEESH!
Ok back to Clay - it's absolutely wonderful to have him here and I think he's getting excited to actually move out here too. So far we've pretty much just stayed close to the apartment but this weekend I'm taking him somewhere out of town...still a surprise for him so I have to keep it the same for you for now. While there is no need for you to hold your breath, you might want to scoot to the front of your seat until I fill you all in on Sunday - stay tuned! :-D

SOOOOOO many incredible places for a weekend away! Tough to choose just one!
660 emails--wow, youre about to catch up with me.except, most of mine are unsolicited sales of viagra and assorted toys. Who puts me on these mailing lists anyway!!!
Waiting w/bated breath,
I love you,
Mom
That's pretty funny!!! In the first sentence you mention how glad you are that I'm here and in the second sentence you speak of your pounding migraine. I'm getting mixed vibes :-)
I have to say that the pictures you posted of the apartment really don't do it justice (your camera phone needs a serious upgrade). From a work standpoint, my cubicle walls pale in comparison to the Downtown Seattle, Puget Sound and Mt. Ranier views from your couch (I could really get used to working from home). In addition, I can tell your apartment walls exactly what I think about my co-workers without any fear of my manager providing me some "professional feedback" :-)
I ventured out today for my first trip to the grocery store. Half a block north and one block east. I could really get used to this!!! It literally took me only 3 minutes by foot. It was a little more expensive and I was obviously limited to a weight that I could physically carry back to the apartment ... but what a cool concept. Buy what you need as you need it. And if you forget something, it will only take another 5 to 10 minutes to go there and back. On a somewhat related matter, I just sold my car to my brother. No more car payments, no more car insurance and no more gasoline costs. Don't know about everybody else but that can all quickly amount to $400 or $500 a month. That's like $6,000 a year!!! Of course, that will probably all go towards increased living costs but at least I get an awesome view now. Couldn't be more EXCITED. Totally love your place!!!
A few quick points to address...
1) Your Mom is on to us. Maybe she has more than nail polish in that night stand.
2) Happy to have been a mention. Surprised the "Compound" doesn't have you tied to a BB or other MS approved mobile device. I bet there's an RFID chip in your badge - they know when you sleep on the john!
3) Glad to see Clay gettin' the blog; sure that's not all he's gettin' these days.
4) At the "Compound", do they play Bush's 'Machine Head'... Breathe In, Breathe Out... Awe! The OMNI cir. 1996.
5) Finished my last MBA final exam yesterday. Take a 4 day May-mester next week, which only requires a game simulation play and two papers. Hell yeah! Pay up B*@#$%!
I love it! I'm such a trend setter - you all want blogs now I know it!! :) In fact, Clay has sent a few emails lately (one fishing related and one computer related - glad there is finally an entry about me or else I'd think his only passions were fishing and computers...), that I have been thinking about posting them on here just to share his stuff too....but hey - get your own blog Clay! ;)
ps-mom the destination is:
1. 1st 2 letters of amy and amanda's sister
2. Next two letters are the last letter in grandma's maiden name followed by the 5th in her first
3. Lastly the last 2 letters in jake & josh's brand name clothes growing up (ie their blue and red overalls)....
Get it yet?!? :)
