You see the good news is that humidity is not an issue up here at all, but the bad news is that my skin is absolutely parched!! I think I've used more lotion in the last month than in the last year, but I'd consider dry skin instead of the suffocating humidity a good trade off, so I won't complain. Not only that but my fingerprints have become my best friend as a password for EVERYTHING on my computer so I guess I should probably take care of them anyways... Both my laptop and my super-fancy phone have fingerprint readers so no more passwords needed for anything! It is so cool - I can even use any of my 10 fingers. I'm thinking about trying toe prints next but I'll wait to get a little more familiar with my coworkers before I start pulling out my calloused feet and scaring them all off just to login... But no fear - I will try it someday and keep you all posted. (Now for those of you who are thinking of chopping off my fingers to get access to my computer - don't even think about it - it must be a warm finger with active blood flow, so no Mission Impossible moves allowed kids.) They tried to enforce a retinal scan next, but I told them my one-eyed brother wouldn't approve of lasers coming at my eyes, not to mention how aware I am of a looming potential retinal detachment at any moment...

Erika - thanks so much for the blog and updates! I love hearing about your latest "adventures" and "trials". :) I need to send you some pics of the ever growing baby bump - I'm starting to look like I swallowed a basketball! Is the gmail account the best email for you? We miss you so much!

So, Erika I'm just curious, did it take you as long as it took me to get the finger print thing set up on your pc? I literally spent 2 hours trying to get 3 successful swipes in a row that it liked before it would let me set it up. Now that I have it set up, I login daily with my fingerprint without issues. But I think it was really picky when I was trying to "register" my finger print. Kind of made me feel incompetent since it took me so long to get set up.

Haha Jenn - you know it actually only took me 15-20 minutes probably - but at least 12 of those minutes were spent on my pinkies - they were almost impossible to match!! So my guess is that skinny fingers are the toughies - thank goodness most of mine are nice and stumpy. Ha!!
